Initially I was trying to use FAT32 but couldn't format it from Windows XP/7. I later learned that you have to use a 3rd-party formatting tool to get it done. So I stuck with NTFS and it seems to mostly work fine except for downloading missing covers.
Is the issue with NTFS mostly a cIOS issue? I did use ModMii to pull the latest set of files and install them a few weeks ago.

You can format it as FAT32 in both of those, I've done it myself several times. Still, you get more options when using 3rd party tools like EASEUS Partition Master, which is one reason why it's usually recommended.
NTFS is an all around issue, although you do need later versions of cIOS's (the ones you have now are the latest if you got them from modmii). What I suggest you do is go buy a 2GB SD card (I say one of those Nintendo Sandisk ones since they are cheap, easy to find, and fully compatible) and put your Cfg files on that. It will load faster than it does on the HDD and shouldn't hang.
Is there some way to configure widescreen to a specific game? I play my games with screen aspect set to 4:3, but the titles on Xenoblade are better seen on 16:9.
Sorry for my bad English. Thank you.
Hi Dr. Clipper and Ogzzee, how are you guys.
About the problem with generic classic controllers, I want to know if you want 1 Generic Classic controller to try fix the problem. I have an extra classic controller here ("Clone" is the brand name) that I'm not using and I can send to you if this will help to discover a solution. Please answer if you have interest and PM me with a mail adress, so I can send the controller to you. The controller is working fine.
Sorry if this question has been answered before, I did search (honest! )
CFG has always been my first choice of usb loader and I like to keep it updated, but no version after 68d will work with my
ISO forwarders for Wiiware.
The simple answer is obviously use version 68d, but I'd like to keep up with the latest version if possible
I'm using the dx2v7 beta cIOSes in slots 245 - 251 and have got cIOS236 and IOS58 etc. as per ModMii.
Any ideas as to why versions later than 68d seem to break compatibilty with my iso forwarders?
I'm guessing that I must have overlooked something when I updated the softmod?
Thanks
//EDIT:
Further experimenting shows compatiblity is not broken, the versions later than 68d need 222-mload to launch the
iso forwarders - whereas 68d can launch them with dx2v7alpha/beta in slot 249
I have a question about cfg usbloader. Will there be updates for the cfg loader or the project was adjusted? I understand that the programmers deserve a holiday too. But it was a long time ago, few month since the last update.
Especially, there are still some little things that you can improve.
- The ability to adjust on the config file which is locked at all admin lock. For example: Style and Settings of the Games (IOS Selection / Anti 002 Fix / ...) would be nice to be freely accessible.
- If "admin lock" is active you set or remove any favorites. This possibility should always be readily accessible.
- If the "admin lock" is active you don't have the possibility to start the "Homebrew Channel" over the Quit Menu. Would be nice if this can be set via the config file.
I use the preloader for my children to boot "cfg usbloader" directly. You should not get into the Wii menu or homebrew. However, the option "Homebrew Channel" in the Quit Menü levers of this.
I have a problem with cfg v70. I play Metroid Trilogy DVD5. With v68 the loader ask me for a .dol in the disk and I play without problems.
But v70 doesn´t ask me and go to the main menú of MPT. CFG v70 show me the "load alternative .dol" blocked when I load a DVD (I have a small HDD and I have a chip, I prefer burn the NO-Dual Layer games), in SD or USB games I can select an alternative .dol without problems.
v70 disables this option or I have did something wrong?
Thanks everyone and sorry for my english ... I´m Chilean

Loading a game via alt dol is obsolete now. Install cIOS249[56]-d2x-v6 (check modmii) and you will not have to bother with this anymore. It works fine with Metroid prime trilogy DVD9 version.
You don't need longer the "alternate dol" function. This function is deprecated as said. Install d2x cios v6 over the "d2x cios installer v3.1" or the wad: cIOS249[56]-d2x-v6 at modmii.
This is the new cios based on waninkokos cios. With these new cios the "block IOS reload" function works fine. Set "Block IOS Reload" to "Auto" and "Alternate Dol" to off.
So you can now play Metroid Prime Trilogy normally as an original DVD. ^^
PS: The d2x cios installer v3.1 is good if you want to install more cIOS with d2x (which everyone does as well because the cios includes lots of new fixes and features).
