FIX94

I asked this about a week ago and didn't get an answer, where can I get the dol for your forwarder to use in Priiloader.

Thanks

dol is in the root of the sd card or hdd in a folder usb-loader

I'm looking for the dol of the fowarder not the loader.

I'l try extracting it with CustomizeMii. I've never done that before, but there is always a first time for everything.

Thanks;

Sorry for this, I'm busy, but here it is:

No problem.

Is the latest version always at this link or is the a place I can find the latest version without having to ask you for it?

No, but I will upload it in newer releases.

Hey pplucky, do you have IOS58 installed? Use this:
IOS58 installer
I will take a look at it.
UPDATE: Worked as a charm! Thanks again.
Hi there.

Topic #1: Installing this V7 forwarder channel (first download) made my CFG USB Loader loading time much slower, like 3 or 4 times slower. If I run it directly from the HBC, it runs fast as before.
Does anybody know why is this happening?
Can anyone tip me on how to fix this?

Topic #2: Why are there 2 versions of V7 forwarder channel? What are the differences between them?

Thanks in advance.
Anyone, any idea? FIX94?

Yes! Topic 1:
Do you mean the time from starting the channel up to the splash or the loading time from the splash screen?
Topic 2:
This is the alternative design version, try it out and you will hear and see the difference

Come on... It's just a matter of appearance when loading?

Dr.Clipper,a question for you:
IOS236 installer uses IOS36 v3351 modifying it with trucha bug and installing it in the 236 slot ,but it could another version of that IOS36 more recent?Why that version and no another like v3607 or v3608?

Thx.

Later versions are immune to one of the patches, I think.

Great work on the loader! It's truely great! One thing that annoys me is...

Child/Idiot Proof setting

You can only change the theme once you have removed the lock. You can enable/disable install,remove etc on a separate basis and I think changing a theme should be the same.

Thanks!

Maybe theme and profile should be moved to main menu, instead of global options.
I think the main menu is available even when the child proof is enabled.

How do you turn off your Wii then?
rolleyes.gif

Return to either CFG or the Wii System Menu, then use the power button on the wii remote. the drive won't be reading/writing when sat idle at either menu, so it is perfectly safe to switch off the wii.
Not that I ever do, I just switch the wii of whenever and haven't had any problems - but if I was paranoid I would just return to CFG/Wii SM.

If I return to CFG (to the games list) and turn off the Wii, the HDD still does that weird sound, meaning that it was being accessed when it was shut down...

In the Home/Pause Menu (inside a running game), the same thing happens...

........."Shutdown" option in the HBC menu!
(Perhaps a similar option should be present in CFG too! )
Yes agreed
Just like when you "Safely remove" a USB pen in Windows, it would surely lessen some data corruption problems, I guess!

Hey, oggzee!

Do you think a "Shutdown" option inside CFG (to un-mount the HDD properly) would be a useful thing to add?

The Main Menu (mapped to - by default) may help, as oggzee suggests, but you could also assign a button to the theme switch action, or to global options:

button_1 = theme
OR
button_1 = global_ops

Edit: Oh, I just checked the code. Neither the Main Menu nor the global_ops page will work if you have disabled the options. Thus the theme action is the only choice right now.

Sorry if this has been asked a million times before.

Just softmodded my wii and the loader works perfectly ,

When i start the loader it boots to the main screen cover on the left list of games on the right ( press B or whatever etc) is there a way to get it to boot to the carousel type of menu ?

Thanks

Scouse

yes you can set the default display to which ever look you like. You can also lock it. The best place to start would be with the cfg configurator. It is a gui tool that allows you to set the global defaults. It will create a settings file to go in to the usbloader folder on the sd card or usb drive. You can find the cfg configurator tool on the main forum page for usb loaders.

Once you get to the carousel mode, you need to tsave the global options so it will boot that way every time.

By saying tsave you mean we have to save in file config.txt using a PC, right?

Thank you

There's actually two ways to save your favourite GUI mode, but only one way to make it select the GUI at startup instead of the console.

To start with the GUI, you need:

gui=start

in config.txt. TO choose the carousel mode, you need:

gui_style = carousel

in config.txt or settings.cfg. You can save to settings.cfg with Cfg by going to the global settings screen (1 twice) and pushing 2 to save. config.txt and settings.cfg can both be edited with the Configurator as well.
