Helllo,
I'm experiencing a problem :
I used the tip to make wii sports Resort working ( put the RZTP01.dol in SD:/folderofconfigurableloader ) and after that in the options of the game i put alternate .dol and player.dol, he then finds my .RZTP01.dol but he gives me an error... ( i dont remember the exact name, i'll give it if needed )

Any solutions ?
Thanks
I don't know where you got the tip from. You haven't needed to put any extra files onto your SD card in months. In fact, you only had to do it for about a week or something with Cfg (although GX did take a month or so to copy that feature, which might explain the frequency of the misinformation). The change happened long before WSR was even released too. I can't believe there are still people throwing around that rubbish info as it messes up so many people.

OK. First tip: If you have the original disc, just play it off that once to watch the opening video. After it is done, you'll be able to play the game in Cfg just fine. Otherwise, use the real alternative .dol loading method.

QUOTE(Snake87r @ Mar 7 2010, 11:52 PM) Hello oggzee, thanks for this fantastic usb loader.
It's possible to add this feature:
1. Symilar than download all cover, add the option to download all avaiable cheat
2. When start a game memorize the game played and when you restart (open) the usb_loader start from the position of the last played game. (I use coverfloader3d and when you reopen the loder start from the first game)
3. In the select game list add a icon or a phrase, or other for:
a. see if exists the txt file cheat
b. if the cheat are enabled in the selected game
1. There's schooluser's script posted earlier.
2. Add sort=play_date-asc or sort=play_date-desc (I can't remember which is the correct order) into config.txt. Then your most recently played game will be at the top of the list.
3. You could set up a profile with all your cheat games marked as favorites and then add "console_mark_favorites=1" to config.txt.

cfg v55b3 (beta3)
I think all issues related to FAT/NTFS loading on cios 249 rev19 are solved now, please test
smile.gif

And also, let's hear it if it works on SDHC cards now or not...?

Perfect, all games I tested so far are starting perfectly from USB harddisk with 55b3 (both with ios38 and ios57 as base)
yay.gif

I had a lot of issues with loading games with the previous beta

Do it then, it might appear in one of the next rel...
I know the new intro is nothing special i was just bored with the old one so i gimped together something quick...

it might not be your type of colour scheme but its easy changed, this is the current text and icon used in my black forwarder

Nice pepxl! I don't like the new intro screen so i hope the devs make it configurable. Then i will use your intro.

@oggzee:
I know the freezing issue if ios 224-mload/57 v5 is used as loader default ios. Are you planning to fix this? I want to take the advantage of ios 57 loading speed.
wink.gif

And I don't want to install cIOSX 249/57, my Wii is a Waninkoko cIOS free zone.

Thanks,
WiiNero

Perhaps a suggestion: make the loading screen a part of the theme (so something along the lines of "put your loading screen in \themes\mytheme\bootscreen.png" to use your own one). That way everyone can choose his/her own booting screen.
smile.gif

(though I'll probably stick with what it has now)

Oh, and also: playing guitar hero and rock band 2 seems to work perfectly (cIOSx (base 37) rev 19 on a FAT32 formatted USB-drive).

I experience the same slooooooooooooowness of Sneek
Do you know if there is a tutorial somewhere to help us with the most optimal configuration of Sneek (have googled but without much success).
In the end Sneek can be very usefull to carry your own personal Wii in your pocket to be used anywhere on a friend's wii
Can all this discussion about SNEEK be moved to the appropriate forum / topic, I'm sure there is one here on gbatemp somewhere...

Not bad, although I don't like the usb logo on that picture, can you lose that?
Or maybe replace it with a white outline of the cfg switch logo in same style, i wounder how would that look.
And hmm, it's kinda very similar to the previous one, especially the writing - I was looking for something fresh

The intro will never be configurable. This has already been discussed. One of the reasons is also that it is shown before anything is initialized (ios, sd, usb, config files, themes,...) by the time all of this is initialized and a intro could be loaded and displayed it's too late - the gui is shown.

Heh, this is already the third or so compliment on the new intro.
I actually expected complaints

I happen to like it too. I was actually going to ask when the app icon was going to be changed over to the new look.

We may make a new option for startup ios that allows you to specify a different IOS than the default game IOS at some point in the future.

For now, you can use 222 to load the loader and 224 saved as the ios of all your games. If you don't want to set them all up manually, use the Configurator:

This will work on FAT/NTFS drives:
1: Go to game settings tab of Configurator, load your existing settings.cfg then click "Add games folder to settings list" and select your WBFS folder.
2: Click "Manage other options" and turn all the IOS values to 224-mload
3: Generate settings.cfg.

This will work for any format type:
1: Save global settings in Cfg to get gamelist.txt
2: Go to game settings tab of Configurator, load your existing settings.cfg then click "Add .txt game list to settings list".
3: Click "Manage other options" and turn all the IOS values to 224-mload
4: Generate settings.cfg.

QUOTE(TyRaNtM @ Mar 8 2010, 10:29 AM) For CFG USB Loader, which base ios of cIOSX is the recommended one? 38 or 57? Any advantage between both?

I think that the USB loaders not launching games may be caused by cIOS and SNEEK, but there was a change in behavior of CFG 55b from cIOS rev 18 to rev 19. NeoGamma behaves exactly the same with rev 18 and rev 19. It lists games on USB but fails to launch them. CFG 55b hangs at the splash screen on rev 19, but starts fine and displays games on USB with rev 18.
My point was, it's not going to work anyway, so what does it matter if it lists the games or not? Anyway, enough SNEEK as Oggzee says.

can someone briefly explain how to play .wbfs games off of a fat32 formatted SD card

when I start config usb loader it says waiting for wbfs partition mount

I have waninkoko cios rev17 and hermes 222/223 installed

any ideas?

Delete or alter the settings for "device" and "partition" in settings.cfg. Then, add "device=sdhc" and "partition=fat1" to config.txt. It's also probably worth adding "ios=249" or ensuring you are using the plain version of the loader rather than the -222 one.

I don't know if this has been suggested before but how about a new feature that has "wbfs, wbfs2" folders as a form of partitioning? Sort of the same as having different WBFS partitions.

don't know what the problem is but after exiting the game "Jewel Master-Cradle of Rome" through the Home button, the Wii stays frozen and I have to unplug then plug it back in for it to be working again, so far this is the only game with the problem, what could be wrong?

Have you set any settings for that game such as "Block IOS Reload"? Otherwise, it could just be a case of that game performing some action on exit that the cIOS can't handle.

BTW, you don't have to unplug the Wii. It is much safer to hold the power button for about 10 seconds to switch it off.

Has anyone had any controller problems? I was playing Endless Ocean: Deep Blue earlier and input kept freezing on me (the controller would ignore input and it seemed to be deciding to just repeat the last thing I did) with mload v5 223 (tried both merged with 57 and then with 60). As a side note to anyone, it seems games can't use SDHC to store files unless you use IOS57 or 60...anyway, I tried the game about three times before trying it from my actual disc where it worked fine. Strange thing is I hadn't had any problems like that before the recent CFG USB Update (using 55-b3 222 version).

I've never had a problem like that with a game before, so I'm not sure that the loader caused it, though it did work via the disc just fine (and come to think of it, just before that Blaster Master worked fine as well). I'll test some more to see if any other games have an issue for me. Even if it's not the loader, what the heck could cause that to happen so randomly?

*edit*
Tried the default IOS222 and so far it's ok. Very very weird, never had that happen. Maybe I should try Mload v4 to see if that fixes it in some way. If anyone has this game that could confirm my findings, that would be great.

*edit some more*
cIOS 249 rev19 seems to work fine, and SDHC works properly. So maybe it's best for this game.

Really need sleep now, I'll try some other games with Mload v5 merged with 60 or 57 tommorow to see if they error out as well...though I'd think someone else would have noticed that by now. It's probably just Endless Ocean being finicky.
