Thanks for the great work oggzee.

just a thing with config r27, I think you forgot to put the right boot.dol in the "inSDroot\apps" folder. The boot.dol there is same as in r26?!?
But the right r27 is in the package also, SDUSB-Loader_cfg27.dol. so no problem renaming and putting in the right folder..
I just point this out if someone else missed this also like i did in the first..

Oops, you're right!
I forgot to copy SDUSB-Loader_cfg27.dol to inSDroot/apps/USBLoader/boot.dol!

hello oggzee ,
would it be possible to choose per game the ios 249 or 222 to use.

for some reason mercury meltdown revolution does not work with 249 but works great with 222.
and some games are shaky with 222.

could it be implemented within the game option menu.

thanx for this awesome loader

Been testing all evening...

1. Wii-Menu -> HDD (spindown/sleep-mode) -> HBC -> cfg26 or original 1.5 = no problem.

2. HBC -> HDD (spindown/sleep-mode) -> cfg26 or original 1.5 = no problem.

3. cfg26 or original 1.5 -> HDD (spindown/sleep-mode) = WBFS partition killed.

So it seems that you CAN NOT initialize a HDD that has already been initialized and then gone to "spindown/sleep-mode", then it will kill the WBFS partition.

is this about the spindown problems with some usb harddisks? is it true that this will be fixed with rev11 or is this allready fixed in a cfg release?
thanx

hmm the ios options is kinda experimental, it doesn't even work well for me, maybe you have the mercury m. dvd inside and it boots from the dvd?

can the spindown problem be fixed in some kind of way or is this inpossible?
All WD external hard drives will spin down (enter into power saver mode) after 10 minutes of drive inactivity. Once the drive is accessed again, the drive will exit from the power saver mode and spin back up.
To fix this problem you must read/write a piece of data to the drive every 9 minutes or so...

Narolez mentioned the rev11 spindown fix here:
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=147638&st=480

my drive:
WD 3200BMWVU-11A04 /B8B (i can not use the wd spindown fiix because its the B8B version.. :-( )
serial:WXH109925518

did a test with WiiFit, short lab run. After i finished the run, the wii hangs and the only thing i can do is a hard reset :-(

dear oggzee ,

no i play mmr from extern harddrive with uloader 1.4 with ios 222 selected for this game and that works great if i select ios 249 i do not have wiimote control.
in uloader 1.4 you can select ios 222 or 249 per game and this works great.

but i prefer your loader and for me to have the option to select per game ios 249 or ios 222 (where ios 249 is the default one) would be fantastic.

Also here is a widescreen backgound inspired from the one you made before.I am completely irrelevant with photoshop and it took me ages lol.

wbg.png

Ohh i forgot
cover_coords = 28 , 150
console_coords = 266 , 41 , 354 , 364

17 titles per page

can you help me please,

no matter what i do it ignores my config file, i can't get it to load my backgound or anything, it just loads the default one and i really want to use this one...

im using the forwarder and my config file looks like this

# USBLoader config
# lines starting with # are comments
# see README-CFG.txt for help on options

background = bg_wolf.png
wbackground = bg_wolf_wide.png
layout = ultimate2
covers = 1
hide_footer = 0
device = usb
ocarina = 0
cover_coords = 28 , 150
console_coords = 266 , 41 , 354 , 364

thanks

Are you editing sd:/usb-loader/config.txt ?
Because, if you're using the forwarder, then the apps/usbloader/config.txt is ignored.
also, it's covers_coords not cover_coords

# widescreen notes:
#ÂÂ - widescreen will be enabled only if the file specified by wbackground

#ÂÂ - cover images have to be named GAMEID_wide.png
#ÂÂÂÂ downloading covers will save them with this name automatically.

#ÂÂ Multiple games can be specified in one line separated by comma ","
#ÂÂ or each game in a separate hide_game = GAMEID line.
#ÂÂ setting hide_game = 0 will reset the hide list.
#ÂÂ GAMEID is a 4 letter game ID.
#ÂÂ Example: hide_game = RZZP, RDCP
#
# pref_game = [0], GAMEID1, GAMEID2, ...
#ÂÂ Preffered games, to be shown first in the list.
#ÂÂ Syntax is same as with hide_game.
#ÂÂ Example: pref_game = RHAP, RSSP
#
# option: cover_style = [standard], 3d, disc
cover_style = 3d
#ÂÂ Support for 3d covers and disc covers
#ÂÂ This option also changes the cover_url, covers_path and cover_size
#ÂÂ covers_path will be set to:
#ÂÂ standard: sd:/usb-loader/covers
#ÂÂ 3d:ÂÂÂÂÂÂ sd:/usb-loader/covers/3d
#ÂÂ disc:ÂÂÂÂ sd:/usb-loader/covers/disc
#
# option: cover_url_norm = URLÂÂ (url for normal 4:3 covers)
# option: cover_url_wide = URLÂÂ (url for widescreen covers)
#ÂÂ defaults:
#ÂÂÂÂÂÂcover_url_norm = http://www.theotherzone.com/wii/{REGION}/{ID6}.png
#ÂÂÂÂÂÂcover_url_wide = http://www.theotherzone.com/wii/widescreen/{REGION}/{ID6}.png
#ÂÂ URL can contain any of the following tags which are then replaced
#ÂÂ with proper values: {REGION}, {WIDTH}, {HEIGHT}, {ID6}, {ID4}, {ID3}
#
# option: cover_url = URL
#ÂÂ (This changes the url for both normal and widescreen covers)
#
# option: home = screenshot
#ÂÂ make a screenshot when home button is pressed (only in main and options screens)
#
# option: confirm_ocarina = [0], 1
#
# option: cursor_jump = [0] or N
#ÂÂ Sets how much moves left/right (if 0 do a end page / next page jump)

Nice.
Tell me, the numbers in front of game title are in titles.txt?
You're using titles.txt to sort the games? Nice trick

Lol yeah.I used the numbers because i wanted to have the games in my order.

As you said i use them in titles.txt this way:

RMCP = 01 Mario Kart Wii
RBHJ = 02 Resident Evil 0
RE4J = 03 Resident Evil 1

I tried to use the option "home = screenshot" to generate screenshots, but it seems it always chooses "screenshot1.png" as the filename and simply overwrites if it already exists. Would be it be possible to have it simply increment the filename i.e. "screenshot1.png", "screenshot2.png", "screenshot3.png" etc. instead?

Also if it was possible to choose a different button than "Home"? I'd like to use "2" instead since that one doesn't do anything else in my setup.

@oggzee: Feature request: Show game region on main or option screen (PAL, NTSC), I saw this in USBLoader GUI and for me it's a handy feature to decide if I should adjust Video settings.

Hi ogzee

great job, go on

In fact, my config.txt is apps\usbloader and it works also
I prefer put config.txt in apps\usbloader
CODE# USBLoader config
# lines starting with # are comments
# see README-CFG.txt for help on options
device = usb
background = background.png
wbackground = wolf.png
layout = large3
covers = 1
hide_footer = 1
console_transparent = 1
cover_style = 3d
music = 1
disable_remove = 1
disable_format = 1
confirm_start = 0
console_color = 15,0
console_coords = 260,41,340,364
covers_coords = 50,92
wconsole_coords = 260,41,340,364
wcovers_coords = 58,92

#covers_path = sd:/config/images

I noticed a little bug, when you specified covers_path all covers go in
but i think is preferable to make same as your default like
covers_path for standard and wide
covers_path + \3d for 3D
covers_path + \disc for disc

And other little bug is when you have mp3 in background and hdd make little second to run, the music is pause strongly
I think you need desactivate it when press A and no confirm_start option activated
(sorry for my english)

the covers_path is not a bug, that's how it's supposed to work, giving you the freedom to specify anything you want.
If you want them somewhere/3d, just specify so, for example:
cover_style = 3d
covers_path = sd:/images/3d
it's easy.
