Hacking Configurable USB Loader

hello
i got a new problem. I have the usb loader working and i can play games. After a time i stop playing the game and i quit to main menu. Then i start the loader again and its impossible to start a game then. It just wont boot up the game (any game). I need to shutdown the power of the wii and then i can boot games again. I have 35t version already. Anyone know the solution?

I guess you have cios249 rev13, that is a known problem with that cios.
wither turn on-off or try to use reset in the home menu instead.

you can. but rev13 has best game and hardware compatibility.
or, you can try cios 222 by hermes which does not have that problem, and use that for all the games except those that will only work with cios249... don't ask me which ones are these, i don't know.

I have fixed the boot.dol location detection instead.

another sugestion is to set a path to where 'usb-loader' is, so u have config.txt in sd card and usb-loader in usb hd

ill go back to cios rev10 cause i never had that problem there. I also used a other usb loader. Ill install my old usbloader on my wii tonight and if that one is working good then it should be de loader.

When you have a game (such as RedStell, MoH:H2) on your hd you need to select it, go into the per-game-menu (with 1 I think).Then you need to select the alt.dol option (either from disc or sd (sd would need you to rip the .dol from the disc so I suggest using the disc method)) and al last you just select the .dol you want the game to start with

That`s all. Pretty simple, because there is no pc needed anymore!!!

This sounds like a great idea:

Why not just start writing standalone/forwarder hybrids? If the .dol to be forwarded on sd card is found, then forward, else take the .dol that's integrated. It's not that complicated, and would replace both kinds of channels.

wanna try to do it?

with perhaps checking for the presence of boot.dol on both sd and usb.
and maybe even this: fisr look for apps/usbloader_cfg and if not found look for apps/usbloader
that would combine all channel types into one.

Seagate FreeAgent does have a management tool to setup the power save into ( NEVER ) so this feature is fixable with such drives

Latest release seems very stable and looks great.

We now have the option of viewing the back covers but it does not download any yet, will this happen in a later release or do I have to edit the urls/cfig files?

Also is game banners in the pipeline or spinning discs on loading?

My WD external drive have no problems even after a spindown, I have paused a game and gone away for 30minutes to 1 hour many times, hdd just spinup again and no problem.

Everyone have that problem using cIOS rev13(a) or cIOS rev13b, its a bug will be fixed in cIOS rev14.

I thought you meant the problem with hdd going to savemode/spindown and games crash if you try to keep playing the game.

I don't really understand what you are asking here, but that problem you mention isn't spindown, it's the rev 13 problem. When using rev 13 (a or b), if you want to switch games, either push the home button and then choose Reset or hold down the power button on the remote. Otherwise the loader will hang when you try to choose a new game. Read posts 1940-1944 too, they cover the exact same problem.
