Hacking Compressing a wud image

Hi, Im trying to compress a wud image into a multiple volume rar to save space and keep the wud images, but I onle get the normal ratio compression on winrar (the scene releases are compressed at 26%) Any help would be very apreciated Thanks!

Use 7zip instead

Yeah I know the wux format but I want a more universal software to decompress later like winrar

I tried but with the same result no less than 86% ratio, can you help me with the settings?

Basically I found some scene wud images (24 gb) compressed into 66 winrar parts (100 mb each = almost 7gb) and I want to know how to do that.

I suspect they are using a specific settings within WinRAR before compressing to get those figures, what settings are they using is the question.

What scene release is the one you are talking about in your post?

for example this one : Wii_Party_U_MULTi8_COMPLETE_EUR_WiiU-LaKiTu but for all games wud scene releases it applies

I remember a while ago reading WiiU scene release guidelines and it does comment about compression used below is what it says about compression:

1.3) WUD and File Format releases are acceptable.
1.3.1) WUD trumps SCRUBBED releases.
1.3.2) File Format rips must be tagged as SCRUBBED
1.3.3) WUD after SCRUBBED is allowed. SCRUBBED after WUD is not allowed.
1.3.4) File Format must be compressed with M1 (fastest) or better.
1.3.5) WUD must be compressed with RAR5, using 512MB or 1024 MB dictionary with Best/m5 compression.

Maybe try these settings?

I did it with those settings on winrar and 7zip and almost all combinations possibles and never get a ratio like that, its a 24 gb wud file in less than 7 gb!

Not sure what else to recommend, others may know, the most obvious reason Wii Party U can compress down to 7GB is because there is actual 7GB worth of DATA, the rest of the 17GB of space is padded data to full up the 24 retail disc.

Yeah I know but how they get ride of that garbage data to compress and how to do it backwards. There is a post on this forum but its from 2014 and the settings picture for 7zip are broken links...
