I'm trying to get Valentine's scripts done. (Now, almost done with the mails. Just 2 big files left for Nene.) If possible, the next patch should be out for testing before V-Day.

Great!!!!!

The scripts on Google Docs may be taken off-line today and tomorrow. I'll upload the updated version when they are done.

Also, there are reports on game freezing during the kisses. That happened to me too, even with the original Japanese Rom. One way to help it is to delete some other games on your SD card. (Make sure you have lots of blank space.) I haven't had much problem with the game freezing now that I only have a few games on my 2MB SD card.

(Remember that your .sav files take up space too. Delete or back up them to other drive will free some space on your card too.)

-----------------

For script editors:

Please be careful with pronouns in the dialogs. Ex. If you change "a gift" to "gifts," later in the same dialog or in the following dialog(s) when you refer to these gifts, you will need to change the pronoun from "it" to "they", etc.

-----------------

Now, the second draft for "Yourself" folder is available for editing.

Also, Manaka's mails are available for editing.

https://sites.google.com/site/loveplustrans/mails-1

Everyone, thank you for your helps.

Alright, so I didn't actually realize editors didn't need to know Japanese... XD
I'd love to help; I'll do some editing when I can get the chance.

Edit: Ah, I meant to ask, is there a specific way to highlight when you've completely removed a word from the dialogue? Should the empty space be highlighted, or just left alone?

I'm not the authority on this, but just saying, if you do mention that a word is taken away, it can always be checked in the script revisions.

You can highlight the word before and the word after, too.

First of all, i only signed up to say "Thank you" to all of you. Thank you for your hard work and great efforts to translate this awesome otakuism game. You made a big wish come true. I really dont understand why konami never translated this game for the non-japanese market. I mean there are so many people who would like to play this game.
And again: Thank you Thank you Thank you. I really hope, you are going to translate it completely. Without people like you, the western otaku would be really poor guys

This is the 6th time playing, every time I try to get manaka, Rinko will butt in walk with me to school instead of manaka. maybe I was too nice with Rinko. Argghhh. I have to get Manaka so I can check the dialog!!

PS: You can use cheat code to skip the story mode altogether. Get the girl you want on the main page. Turn on the cheat code, start the game and walla. She's now your girlfriend. I guess most of you guys are using WOOD so, maybe you already know about this.

@ trev: Ahah~ the patch you sent me was for TMGS.
I've played Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side Love Plus (I was a grammar checker! ^ ^)

But I meant Love Plus (as in this game), I wish the creators would create a Love Plus for girls.
But since I'm a total perv, I'm excited to help edit/play this game! ^ O ^

Thanks for everybody participating in the translation.
I'm curious for the result, would really like to try the game out AND understand it.

Seeing as there is steady progress done to the translation, can I ask for a rough estimate on when it could be finished? Only when its possible, no offense or stress taken on this please!

Thanks alot again.

The current goal for this project is not for full translation (yet.) If there are more translators, maybe I'll plan for a full translation in the future, but currently, we will just try to translate necessary scripts.

I would like to help out with the editing (e.g. Grammar) since I'm not familiar with translating Japanese. Can someone point me in the right direction on where to start? ^^ I'd love to see this game (and Plus+) get translated!

There's a Helped Needed section on the first page. You can follow the links there to help editing the scripts.

Thank you very much.

--------------------

The next patch should be out in a few days. But the current edited scripts probably won't be included yet. (I mean they will be included but not the edited ones. So don't expect perfect English in this coming patch.

It's always good to see more people offering to lend a hand.

On that note, while I was going over some of the open scripts, I noticed something that I think I should point out since there are others expressing interest in editing them. Needless to say, even though previous editors have already smoothed out the more noticeable kinks in the scripts, there are definitely still a few left. However and I can only speak for myself on this matter, but please refrain from making changes like:

-“We are going autumn leaf viewing on Mt. Towano.” ---> “We are going to view the autumn leaves on Mt. Towano.

-“We are going skating at the sports center.” ---> “We are going to skate at the sports center.

Changes like these are rather unnecessary and obviously different from improving the grammatical aspect of the lines or from replacing certain words for more proper terms (ex: autumn leaf viewing -> fall foliage viewing).

This is kinda why I'm glad we have editors that can understand what the source is trying to say. The first one is an easy mistake to make because people like me don't know that autumn leaf viewing is referring to an event (I think that's what you're trying to say) instead of a description of what they want to do.

I have to admit that I would make changes like the second one though. Thanks for letting me know.

My mistake. Those are my editions. It's just, I don't feel right to put two past continuous together, so I changed the second verb to the infinitive.

I am not very familiar with advanced english grammar, so, well, I do my best.

I think I going to study english again.
