Please learn to READ (or even better learn to search)!!!!!!!! THE ANSWER IS NO! until a new working exploit is released..

You can only downgrade if you already have the homebrew channel. Wait for team twiizers to release their stuff since they have exploits to install BootMii with that should come out with it.

EDIT:
P.S. Comex had me and IgglyBoo(the guy who posted the first video) test some stuff out and comex got the blue light on the wii to turn on when the wii tries to view the banner.
The exploit works, but in order to make it do anything useful, comex needs more data. So far I know that the exploit has been tested on 3.0u and 3.2u, because I tested it myself.

IgglyBoo aint no joke ether! hes the hex king makes some of the freekin sweetest hacks for wiird and occarina as well

hi there. thought I should mention something... well, other forums tell me that although bannerbomb will run any boot.dol at the root of the card, the one for HBC always crashes... so either twiizers makes a new one or we're stuck with changing the dol for every time... somebody quote me if I'm wrong.

you could also use the homebrew browser, i think thats what its called, i haven't used it in a really long time, Also this info could be correct, cause i couldn't get the HBC Dol to boot from any Dol forwarder Homebrew disc, i think the HBC DOL is using a weird compression or something not sure

edit: No its not called the Homebrew browser, i can't remember what the damn thing is called, but it works similar to the HBC

Edit: I was talking about Homebrew Laucher i had forgot what it was called,

correct, I just can't remember what its called.

edit Found it Its called Homebrew Launcher, I guess that was easy enough

okay then. i guess that competitor will win out when this thing is ready. do you agree, or is there another one?

um i had an idea (ouch). what if i did a factory restore? my wii had been bought before 4.0 but I'm scared to test it. will it revert so i can do another hack?

No, it will simply restore you to factory settings but still on 4.0

that's awful. glad I didn't try it.

No it means that you can install the HBC onto your wii using this method. Since the twilight hack does not work with 4.0. And if you choose, you can run backups once you install teh correct things.

right now you can't install hbc even if comex exploit is working. the reason is that there is no installer for hbc that is working on 4.0. the bug the hbc installer used to install hbc on the wii was closed with the sm 4.0 update. teamT had to use an other bug/exploit which allows you to install files on the nand to get the installer working again. don't know if there are any other holes which could enable that.

"Right now" that is correct.

However having HBC in a WAD file may be of some use. If Comex's exploit can run code on a "virgin" 4.0 system it may be possible to downgrade IOS35 using Comex's 3.4 DVDX installer. From there you could either install the fakesigned HBC WAD using WMIOS35, or install cIOS from a WAD and then use WadManager 1.3 to install the HBC WAD.

A lot remains to be seen....no one really knows what will work (well someone may know, but no one's telling at this point)

I ALREADY SAID THAT
