Why can't you install HBC on 3.4?

Can't you just use Twilight Hack v0.1 beta2?

i'm not modded at all so my ntsc u zelda is a no go and ir cost $60 for a good mod chip and about $70 to import ntsc j zelda.
i won't go into how my wii got to 3.4j it involves a sibling.

is your wii japanese?

well considering he said 3.4J , i would assume yes, his wii is running the jap sys menu....

how old is your sister lol?How did she figure out how to use it?
1st off great user name you got there.
she is 25 i'm 18!... yeah that's just said and I'm not sure how she figured it out!
all i know is she said she was playing my wii and the language turned jap so she upgraded and reformatted to try and "fix" it.
i had to explain how she should stop smoking pot and that any region changer isn't a "game".
no i bet your asking what is a 25 year old woman doing living with her mom?
but that my friend is another story.
i'm just surprised my wii only has the 2X weather and news channel's and isn't fully bricked!

I am aware that you weren't supposed to run it via the sd card menu. However, due to the poor quality of the vid I thought I should do it like that so I didn't get 1000's of comments of "WTF FAKED NOT 4.0 LOLOLOL" everywhere when the noobs miss the sd card icon.

And, FYI, running it through Saves > Wii > SD Card gives the same result (like I said in the vid - I don't have the HBC)

No, its the same damn thing.
Read before you create a thread on something that already exists.

You think this came from TehSkeen?

No. It came from wiibrew forums.
The OP of this thread linked to the original post by comex.

So i could not read this thread to known all the rest!

Anyway: I changed my post to the wiibrew source

and a link to this thread that had much more information about it

I don't believe it is supposed to crash.

It is. It's a buffer overflow. And it's not a complete crash, only that of the System Menu software. Screensaver and remote connectivity still work (though the remote connectivity is useless with a frozen SM).

i have a question. in the video where it actually loads the homebrew channel, how come there are no virtual console games on the menu, but when he goes into settings > data management > channels there are a load of N64 and NES games on the wii memory? Suspicious? I'm not saying its fake, i'm just curious about that...

right now, you can't. the exploit haven't got released and the hole the homebrew channel used to install got fixed in 4.0. time will show if there is a solution.

I dont understand one thing:

- The Wii 4.0 blocked Twiligth Rack, then I can´t install Homebrew Channel because no have other way, or he block the install of Homebrew Channel ????
