Though it was to release this September, Bandai Namco's Souls-like action game Code Vein has been officially pushed back to a 2019 release. The reason for the delay is so that the gameplay and overall experience can be refined, which means the game needs extra development time. When Code Vein does launch next year, it'll be for Playstation 4, PC, and Xbox One.

Code Vein has received an enormous amount of positive feedback from eager fans who have received hands-on time with in-development versions of the game over the past nine months. Armed with knowledge of how well the game has already been received, we made the decision to postpone the release of Code vein to further refine its gameplay in an effort to exceed the expectations fans already have of the title. It was a difficult decision to make, but we feel it is the correct one.

They should just clone Granblue Fantasy Project Re: LInk, and put their own dark-souls-esque spin on it (albeit it looks more like a cross between soulsacrifice and god eater). If Platinum Games deliver, that will be the pinnacle of animu-style action game

It was inevitable to happen. Back when I tested the alpha builds, it was such a mess that I was surprised they're gonna release the game this year.
Rather than being upset about the delay, i'm glad Bamco understood what the fans think about it's current state.
Better play it safe than rushing a game for easy money.

The art in general. I actually like the 3d anime look, when its done right. Plus this looks like a post-apocalyptic Tokyo Ghoul to me. Where as Dark Souls is more jank, victorian sombre.

I didn't know most people didn't like that European Fantasy medieval theme, I thought that was the point of dark souls.

Is interesting though, I always thought the game is boring. But I only watch people play it, not actually play it myself so I guess it is different experience. But if I don't see something fun happen, it doesn't make me want to play more.

Oh, I doubt it's most people. I just prefer the brighter colors. Always was a sucker for neons
It's not just the art style though. It also looks like it's alot faster paced, where as DS is slow and careful. That's not really for me. Slow is very boring.

So same kind of game, with better art, and faster gameplay = win win win for me.

Well not everyone is a patient gamer, who can be with so many games to play coming out. I hope this game has multiplayer cause playing with friends working together changes the slow gameplay.

Agreed. Lan/Online play would be very well suited for this, since you seem to be followed by a companion alot of the time.
