ROM Hack COD BLACK OPS - Help with save file!

Hi, i started playing cod black ops, but on the European rom version, most of my friends are from USA and i will get the USA version as soon as it is available, i unlocked multiplayer guns and stuff now i wanna know if i can i transfer the save file from the EUR rom to the US rom ? is it possible? thanks !

ummm just rename the .sav file to the file name of the US version...

and do you think that will work? isn't the game ID different? i cant know because i dont know how AK2i save files works =/ please help, somebody
