I rarely chime in when people are being ignorant and unhelpful, but shut up OR learn how to be more Gentle. The setup that Uzra mentioned on the first page is decent enough.
I don't know why everyone gets off thinking that previous generation parts aren't good; you clearly haven't seen what's "mainstream" in other parts
of the world. A Core2Duo would perform admirably, Rydian, w/ a nice mid-range card the setup should last you a long while. Resolution tends to be
the limiting factor in most games.
