Well, crud. I've missed a lot it seems! Hiya, 3DS community!

I'm still on 9.9 So really, there's no point in upgrading? Some people recommend if you're on 9.9 to just update to 10.3 since the exploit should work for all firmwares, but it seems kind of risky and the first post here recommends not to.

You have a new 3DS, right? In that case, don't update, because snshax, that will probably come first, only works on 10.1 and below.

Excellent! I'm feeling pretty glad I stayed on 9.9 then! Thank you so much for the help!

If I can get eShop access back, I'll be quite happy. Curious to see what else this will bring.

I am pretty sure everyone nuked the hype train when this thread was locked. I mean, we could have gone back to the EoF but sketchy things happen there...

Ok, but seriously, do you guys think that nintendo will make it so you can't launch ANYTHING without updating?

Nintendo could have implemented that in one of the latest firmwares as a last-resort measure for all we know. But as long as you keep your firmware at the lowest that you can, you reduce the possibility of that happening. Also, just make sure your wifi switch is off all the time so there is no way your 3DS will communicate with Nintendo's servers.

Thanks! I am already on 10.3 but have Shufflehax installed ad a last resort. Personally, I think Nintendo is going to go full fuck it mode because they have never tried harder to protect their systems and 3 people walk up to a microphone, and practically give everyone full kernel access. I am pretty sure they will stop supporting protection on o3ds and focus on n3ds.

Lol. You quoted me a little after I made my final edits. But make sure it is noted that you should never have your wifi turned on from now for any reason in case Nintendo has any hidden measures (fixed in my edit). That could include a measure to refresh your theme data and block out the browser (already implemented), potentially ridding you of all your free entrypoints.

well the userland exploit we have got now has not been fully patched only somr of the entry points were and it was fixed a few days ago so it works again but will it be possible to do it with kernal
