Wouldn't it be more so Ideal to use a custom payload to pre-install a entry point IE giving a option to uninstall menu and set another entry point
Nah man, you install ironhax or oothax, etc. Befor removing the homemenu. And even if you dont, 9.2 still has the spider exploit. You can run an exploit with just an internet connection.

True. But removing things so fast... That's just paranoid.
On the contrary, I find it really strange how they left v1.0 up on their servers. They took it down from the eShop so people couldn't download it anymore and couldn't get Ironhax anymore, before releasing a patched version later on. Why would they keep the old one that contains the vulnerabilities?

Let's say you have just downgraded your sysnand to 9.2 and removed themehax (to reinstall it later to launch emunand), then you still have ironhax and browserhax as entrypoints
Ironfall requires a firmware higher than 9.2 to run.

Yes. But I don't know if "shufflehax" (the new version of themehax) works for 9.2... it should
It technically could, but menuhax manager only installs the old themehax for 9.2-10.1

The browser, yo
Actually it's the exploit hosted on go.gateway-3ds.com and launch.rxtools.net (there are mirrors and other implementations but yeah)

You just have to use one of the websites I just talked about.

what i was referring to was how I installed my original Wii mod; the way it was done was pre-install the homebrew channel in the process. I have oothax (through eshop), browserhax and menu hax at entry points; i am trying to think of the most noob way of doing this.

The new version is just like a forced update of the original. maybe that's why it stayed there.

It can be installed to update your old version to 1.2, but you can't uninstall the update.
It's not forced though because you must go and update it from your own will. It will nag you but it won't update unless you tell it to.

I mean in the end we just made a way to go and download the old version from their servers. That would never have happened if Nintendo had simply removed it from their servers.
Then again, at the same time, they've been leaving Ocarina of Time 3D as-is ever since it came out, even though oot3dhax came out a long time ago. Though I guess that one is paid software while Ironfall was free.

it's difficult to understand the Japanese business mindset. lol

Well considering the idea that the cart was OOP for so long; and remain so high priced on the eStore; I would say Nintendo has it's own way of limiting access to OOT

Unlimited Stalking Works?

Anyway, if Gateway releases it's downgrade first, would @Steveice10 and the others stop working on memchunkhax2?

...Actually, which downgrading method is most reliable?

If you plan on downgrading and using emunand, here is what I would do. Get ironfall 1.0,1.1 while you still can. Get ironhax but set it up to use 9.0,9.2 payload. Just run the downgrade, and remove menuhax. Setup emunand. Then use the lower firm ironhax exploit to setup rxtools with auto boot menuhax. Then use yellows8 homebrew launcher cia in emunand as a hbl 'exploit'. But that's just me.

I think that one of them would just reverse-engineer it and make the exploit code, then release it; it that ever happens.
