Hacking cIOSX rev20 released

testet most of my games with cios249 base57 with cfg loader v57... everything works fine... also mh3 under 250 base37. but after that i installed cios251 base 38 (wanted to try a self-compiled version of triiforce_mrc to run under cios251) mh3 freezes when i try to load a savefile (but others game runs fine like before oO). after reinstalling cios250 base37 it runs well again... very strange.

Each time you install a cIOS, installer will install a backup cIOS in slot 250 automatically, so, after you installed cIOS38 in slot 251, your IOS250 became IOS38 based.

WODE sucks because it costs money while Homebrew is free.
Wii also costs money. So should wii sucks?

Furthermore WODE does NOT support many Audio Streaming GC Games ---> Big FAIL!
All games, including those with audio streming work. You just miss streaming audio but rest in-game audio works. With softmods, you can not play GC games from USB at all. Isn't big fail?

If Crediar will release DIOSMIOS, then audio streaming won't work as well.

Hell there are so many other reasons why WODE fails compared to Softmods.
Tell me these reasons. I've told enough resons why cIOS fails and sucks, but you didn't give any reasons to prove opposite.
Yes, it costs some money. But $100 for device giving me big convenience it's ok.

Giantpune was the only who tried to make useful USB loader from SNEEK, but he also understood that is better to buy WODE

Anyway, all parts for USB loader are in SNEEK (and some other sources), just need someone who will gather everything together and will make it wok. At least, for Wii games it's relatively easy to do. Just need some poor developer who can't afford WODE with enough experience

After that everybody will forget cIOS.

Come on man you are getting way off topic, this wasn't about WODE. You brought that up and don't diss somebodys hard work which a lot of us appreciate just because you don't use CIOS, this isn't the place and its pretty rude tbh.
I wasn't saying anything against you but I think you should show a little bit consideration for the developer of this and its users. We appreciate the guys work even if you don't have to because you have the hardware. SNEEK is another topic altogether and there are other topics where that can be discussed on this forum.

Anyone confirm the q's I had above btw? I'd appreciate it.

Which version of IOS38 should I use for offline install?
v3610, v3867 or v4123?
Waninkoko didn't specify in the readme.
I assume it's v4123, but just want to be sure.

As someone coming from no problems with Rev 17, I have a few questions:

1) Is there a way to avoid problems with the game menu channels and/or wad manager with multiple install support? (Will I have to re-make all the game channels?)

2) What are the advantages of Rev 20 over 17 if I just play USB backups and have no issues?

3) With Rev 17, there is really no input or know-how needed by the user, but with Rev 20, one needs to decide different things about bases and IOS's for the install. Can someone explain exactly what each user input needed means (and not just list numbers), as it is not something I ever had to worry about?

2.Loading from fat/ntfs fromatted hdd.....having ios 57 as base game load up faster
(having fat32 one partition for everything...emulated nand ..apps...etc)

3.best set up is 249[57] and 250[37]

for mh3 and music games use 250 for others use 249.......

What usb loader are you using?, just curiosity.

there is no point installing others since you cant use anything other then (222/223/224/249/250) with any of the loaders.....yet

yes the installer lets you chose the base ios then which slot you want to install it to....

Fuck i'm still on rev14 or some shit. The same rev with the bug where sometimes if you boot the wii nothing will happen, the warning message wont show up.. I gotta upgrade, maybe tomorrow. rev 20 seems like it's the best.

Any disadvantages to rev 20 so far?

Can anyone help me please, Ive tried to install cIOSX rev 20 but at the end I get install error -1035, I've picked IOS36 not 249 cause its stubbed then I pick 249 at the end cause I carnt pick 36 again it ranges from 200 to 251 something like that. Am I having these problems cause my IOS249 is stubbed, if so how do I get my ios 249 back to a trucha signed ios. Ive tried Dop Mii V12 uninstall stubs but it just errors on eack one and will not delete, or is there something else wrong Im doing.
