Hacking cIOSCORP v3.1 Release!

2. Even though all the IOSes are the latest version, the trucha bug has been put back into them, and both IOS36 and IOS60 have the ES_Identify patch in them too.

1) Is there a way to check if I have the trucha bug?
2) What is the ES_Identify patch? And how do I find out if I already have this on?

A little more information would be awesome. OMG Help isn't very useful.

Do they load in NeoGamma? Assuming you "think" you installed it right.. dabble in preloader's options. What IOS is preloader loading? (60 still? try 249) What hacks are you using?

pre loader is loading iso 60 and all work in gamma as far as hacks go all ticked except replace health screen, no sound, no menu bmg , ios reload,none of the auto boot stuff, and thats it any more ?? just ask ill tell you sorry if not all the info was there

First, try changing Preloader's IOS to 249. This will temporarily kill your Wii Settings screen, but you can always toggle it back to 60 if you need to change something there. Try that before continuing...

Then, you should make sure your hacks.ini file is proper for your firmware version. 4.0 hacks don't work on 4.1 systems. Once you know your hacks are updated, try disabling some region-free hacks. A buddy of mine needed to disable his Region-Free 2 hack for stuff to work.

OK I have a Ghostbusters fix that gets as far as the wrist strap screen!

Apparently there is a trick that needs to be done to get past this (as there is something strange with the scene release .iso). What is this trick? I've heard of "pressing A heaps of times" and "the eject trick"

Is somebody able to tell me this trick/tricks, so i can tell my testers so they can try it?

Try pushing the Home button the moment the screen turns white to load the screen. It used to work for some older games before they got fixed.. might work for Ghostbusters.

Thanks a TON for the help da_letter_a! It turns out that it was the lack of available space on my SD Card the whole time, b/c when I tried my other 1GB stick (blank) and just had the cIOSCORP installer files on it and installed, boom! It worked perfect!

to burn SSBB:
1] obtain the .iso
2] download and install imgburn
3] go to tools>settings>write tab and set the layer to "user specified" and type in "2084960".
4] burn the .iso at 4x with your dl media.
5] after about 25 minutes it should be done.

Hmmm, I just selected the ISO file and burned it with ImgBurn at 2,4x speed and all is working as it should, the japanese version of the game and the PAL version works also fine.

Did none of the above settings....

Ok,
I installed this on my friends Wii:

LU64+ Wii, PAL, 4.1E (Updated from 3.4 using IOS16 & 60 & 61 and System Menu 4.1E WADs) Preloader0.29.

Now, I insert a burned disc.
It shows the Game Disc Banner.

But when I hit start, it only gives me a black screen.

I only hear the Wii spin and read the disc.

Any hints?

It also doesn't read originals anymore.

So if we have 4.0u AND have the older cioscorp installed already, do we just install this over the top, or is there a correct way to unload the old cioscorp before installing this new one?

Yea, i know not to uninstall the wad, just wondered if I had to install another one first, 'cleaning' up the old install so to speak...

But I'll try just running it over the previous one, and report back later tonight when I'm home

I had cIOScorp v1 but I wanted to play SSBB dvd9 so I upgraded to #2. then mario kart and a whole buncha games had 001 error. then i went to preloader and changed system menu ios to 36 and everything is fine including ssbb dvd9.

So i dont see the need for this v3(.1)?

i tried it and theres a 001 AND a 002 error in some games. (i tried changing system menu ios in preloader to 36, 30, and 249 and its still the same)

So im gonna stick with v2!
