I'll probably just install this when there is a new version for Preloader or even 'BootMii', but could someone PM me too? Thanks :p

There is a tool that can apply patches to any version of the system menu..... It's a matter of finding the correct patch for the menu. Anyone know what the adresses for the update patch would be on 4.0?

http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Menu_Patcher

It will load and work on 4.0 I don't know if any of the currently included patches will work put this tool will work to patch the menu. It's open source so by simply determining the system addresses and such we can easily make the needed patches and add them to this tool.

Wow this is great well done for the CIOSCORP update its the icing on the 4.0 cake
(and preloader you say that will be good)

Could I please get a PM for the download?

..M

Umm I have a bit of an issue... How do I go back to using Cioscorp??? I was using the Riiski Mod and then I updated using Waninkoko's updater, so what do I do from here? BTW I got the file Wiiblaster sent me. Also, BTW, thank you Wiiblaster

than install the new CIOS60BF which can be found just ask around

That's about it then, I did a clean update of CIOSCORP 2 and it seems I'm missing that.

Shame I didn't brickblock my games, still very stellar progress. In fact I'm thrilled.

Anyone care to look into this idea More? I can't seem to place the exact addresses and values..... I'll keep looking but I'm pretty bad at writing my own codes so there is no chance I'll be the one to add the patches once they are found.

Also any chance Someone could send me a file system Dump from a 4.0 Wii? I refuse to update until we get an update block patch.

So...um... should I just install the file that Wiiblaster gave me. If I heard right Wanikoko's update doesn't mess with allready installed files just gives you safe versions of new files needed so is it safe to assume that my Cioscorp files are still there and I just need to install this new file?

Kk i want to ask something. here real quick... i have the old version of CIOSCORP installed.. should i go ahead and install the firmware and then after that install the CIOS60BF..i already have CIOS v8 installed...

His priority should be updating Starfall to 4.0, or at least releasing the source.
Why would he? Starfall's outdated.
Preloader offers as much protection as a dismantled GC controller and a copy of TP.
What if you don't have a GC Pad? What if you don't even have Twilight Hack save?
Implementing hacks from Starfall was an afterthought.
No, it isn't.
What does Preloader offer that Starfall doesn't?
A moveable disc channel, a bunch of other half-functional hacks, and an uninstallable renamed system menu.
Don't forget we can boot .dols using the menu and boot into HBC.
Yes, it can't even be fully uninstalled, which no one seems to know about.
Yes it can. Just re-install System Menu and run Hacks remover.

All of your points are invalid and stupid. Preloader is all-around better than Starfall.

What do you think the Twilight Hack and the Homebrew Channel do?
They let you boot .dols, moron.

No, that doesn't fully remove it.
You're wrong. Nice try though.

Yes, but we are talking about booting homebrew through recovery menu in case of a brick which is only achievable by using Twilight Hack. However could you boot HBC through recovery menu? And what if you don't have Twilight Hack? How are you supposed to boot homebrew now? You can't access the system because it bricked.

And that's when Preloader comes in. You can save your system without having Twilight Hack through either:
1)Launching HBC and removing the thing that bricks you
2)Booting a .dol through the Preloader menu

No, that doesn't fully remove it.
Can you tell me why?

Yes, Wii takes longer to boot. But a few seconds delay is nothing much.
