Merry Christmas everyone

Thank you Waninkoko, nice present.

I didn't test it yet, but it's too bad if it has the DVD9 bug back

I hope it can be a fixed easily/quickly, so users won't be complaining too long against you [again].
(maybe 16b, or a 16 re-release ?)

Merry Christmas too.

I wouldn't touch this DOL just yet, until we get more confirmations. Running 'strings' (it's a *nix command) on the DOL doesn't show anything but random characters. (Normally, a DOL would return something legible, like a file path.)
Not always (like you see in this example), you can't see the strings as plain text if a dol is compressed or some type of crypted.

Can't wait until DVD-9 is fixed, and cIOScorp is updated. Once that happens, YAY (almost) EVERY GAME WORKS!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!

GC Backups working fine (Zelda WW)

Timeout errors on 8 different NSMB discs.
-GC backups are for shure working fine, because they are loader with the cMIOS, and NOT the cIOS.
-About NSMB Wii: The ISO-File must be a clean one (no patches, 1:1 Dump, Scrubbed is OK too), and has to be patched with the Wasabi BCA Patcher and the BCA-Code from the game. Then you can burn it and it should work. That should be the same for the next games that have BCA-Protection.

@Topic: What a surprise. Still, since I'm only an USB-Loader user, I don't realy need it. Though, a nice surprise.

Yer looks like the Dual Layer bug is back

I just wanna chim in and add a "thank you, Waninkoko...and a merry christmas!!!" to the list.

Sorry for posting this twice, but i hope that will reduce the number of posts overall.

Ok, here are my test results with cIOSrev16:
Sam & Max disc, SoftChip, Sam & Max fix enabled -> works
Sam & Max disc, NeoGamma rebooter -> works
SSBB disc, SoftChip -> DL bug
SSBB usb, usb loader 1.5 -> DL bug
Sam & Max disc, NeoGamma, timeout
Sam & Max usb, NeoGamma, timeout

So building a cioscorp with this may be possible, but it will only help with BCA protected games and not DL games. And about BCA games, there's only 1 game at the moment, and if you have to patch it for disc channel, you can use the other patch that's floating around already.

Even if there wasn't the DL bug, the cIOS would be broken in my eyes. NeoGamma fails because it uses different code to access the dvd drive than all other loaders. But that code works on IOS, so if a game would use the same code it could detect this cIOS.

Just thinking about something.

If the iso is patched to include the BCA, and the tmd to use IOS249, then it will work fine on Wiikey 1 from disc channel ?
oh, maybe I'm forgetting about the 002b fix we can't patch on the iso, and the wiikey 1 doesn't have a fix for this one. it will still need a backup loader then, right ?
my brother used to launch games only from disc channel for easier process. I guess manually patching main.dol is quicker then

To clearify: rev14 is the only cIOS, that can't be detected by any game? Which means, there's a way to detect backup loading in the games core routine?

cIOSrev14 allows stuff that an IOS does not. Games could also test for that. But cIOSrev16 is capable of less than an IOS, that's a bigger problem in my eyes.

So should i stay with Rev 14 for better compatabitly for games or upgrade to Rev16 because i know 15 is broken as i tried it ?? thanks in advance

Stay on rev14. Rev16 has some serious problems, and won't give you something realy usefull for now. There are other patches for NSMB Wii, and DL Support is still broken.

(Btw: Reading the last pages doesn't hurt...)

Stay on rev14.

I have a 3.2U wii with NeogammaV7

I was having trouble playing Wii Sports Resort on cIOS 13 (002) so I updated the cIOS16 (disk read timeout).

I installed cIOS14 and ran the alt dol file and it works like a charm!

Neogamma does not support 15 or 16.
