I'm trying to use DOP-IOS to get NSMB to work on the Disc Channel.
However, I want to make sure I can use the app, and it tells me I need to have cIOS 249 installed.

Is there a way to check if I already have it installed? And if not, would it cause harm to install it on a 4.0U hardmodded Wii?

Thanks!

Okay, thanks.

Just curious, should DOP-IOS refuse to run if I were missing cIOS 249? Or would missing the cIOS just cause IOS installations to fail or something?

Okay, I have tried to install cIOS 249 using Waninko's updater, but I keep getting this error, "ret -1".

What's up with that?

Waninkoko's updater and cIOS installer are entirely different things.

Read through the guides in the stickies. You really should familiarize yourself with everything before using things. Reading the guide in my sig should help you understand things better and then following xzxero's guide will be easier to follow + everything is packed together in packages for you.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
