Hardware Chinese wii u controller problem

So i bought a cheap wii u pro controller from ebay for 16$. I expected it to be kinda clunky, but it feels pretty good when playing. However the left thumb-stick won't detect northeast input. every other direction works great. Any ideas what to do? shipping it back to china is too much of a hassle for that price. Any ideas what could be wrong or how to fix it?

disassemble, look for a problem internally. maybe a replacement analog stick module can be installed

if the d pad and buttons work ok at least it's usable

Just request a return they will give you your money back without even asking for the pad back.

You could also use thumbsticks from other controllers, like Xbox controllers or Dualshocks. These replacement thumbsticks are easier to find.

i soldered in a different one, but now it goes all the way to up left and stayes there. i'll try to use wires, cause i may have damaged the microchip.

If anyone still cares I ended up ruining the thumbstick pcb, so i just soldered all the points with wires and that ended up working.
