turns out somehow the save file got corrupted, so I decided fuck it and used a hacked save I found online

After backup BOTW save, edit on site, save, changing the file on SD card. I tap restore and there is a error: ERROR:0000F601 Failed to commit to save device. And Switch freezes forever. Firmware 3.0.0. Well...

Would you mind filing a proper Github issue here instead of reporting your problems in this thread?
I'm not even the OP, I'm not sure how would I read your error reports if you don't tell them directly to me.

I figured part of the problem, the app has trouble transferring your album and picture folders on your save file, plus you can only transfer one specif save point folder as well. so basically I transfer the folder #0 with your save file,tracker folder, and option sav. If you do only does files the app can successfully overwrite your console save file however you wont have any pictures that you may have taken.

Apparently yes (and also on 4.0.1). But for me, it always freezes after loading all saves :/

So it works on 4.1.0 for me, it does not freeze, I can create backups but can't inject them. :/

There are pc methods, check the other threads (tegrarcmsmash if you're on Windows I guess). Otherwise I'm not sure what you mean.

All the saves are in the nand. The gamecart don't have saves.

It's a bug you'll have to delete EVERYTHING except for the folder that you edited, this just simply replaces that one edit and doesn't delete anything else that's no longer there from the restore folder.

you're not required to do any fancy hack like this. just wait until a stabler release gets rolled out

But it works, of course a more stable release would be a better option but it is a workaround for now that no one needs to wait for.

You just copy and pasted my write up on github, stop claiming glory with other people's findings

It deletes all others. I would advice not to do that.
