I tried and tested - still crashed, specifically when move the pan on Luigi's Mansion, Mario Tennis Aces and Mario Kart 8.

I've been using it without any kind of problem since may, updating HOS and Atmos pretty fast as soon as a new version of each one is out. Never had a single issue with Checkpoint.
His problem is that you need to close the game before using it while making sure there's actually some save data on the console that you can back-up.

Ok I checked again (and updated to 3.7.4 just incase it was out of date though file size didn't change so don't think so) and can confirm it does appear to work properly. It has been awhile since I've used it and I could have sworn the UI wasn't responding to inputs from the controllers. Maybe was using an old version of Checkpoint at that time or something.
