Put the usrcheat.dat file or w.e cheat file that your going to use in __aio/cheats or __ak2/cheats. Acekards supports usrcheat.dat and others but I'm too lazy to look. You also might need to change what cheat file you're using in the system options.
you have to enable cheats globally first. you can do that in start->system options->default patch options->cheat code usage. then when you press Y on a game a cheat button will appear if any cheats are available.
