ROM Hack Cheats not working - YSmenu

I'm using an R4 Revolution, I just remade the YSMenu on the SD card, I'm using the r4cce from Yasu to update the USRCHEAT.DAT, I have the right game IDs. Infinite Space and Pokemon HG codes do NOTHING. What am I doing wrong?

Yes. When selecting a game from the list, the CHEAT box shows up, checked.

The cheats have no visible effect; certainly what I -want- them to do isn't happening.

Well, you said it yourself.
It's a broken card, does not work.
dont get suprised when certain games wont start.

So aside from trolls and other such morons, anyone have any useful suggestions?

EDIT: Odd. I got one code working for Pokemon HG (990 of each ball), but nothing works on Infinite Space, and this Random Wild Pokemon code isn't working at all in HG. I guess I'm using bad codes...?

Are you using codes meant for SS? Have you got the latest cheat database (the temp one), and are pressing the required buttons to activate the cheats?

Not sure if it's meant for SS or HG; I got it from the "Pokemon HG/SS: Completely Random!" topic and it seems to be working for other people there. I'm not using a premade cheat database; all I have in there is the random wild pokemon cheat (which isn't associated with buttons at all), the "990 of every ball" cheat (which works with UP+SELECT properly), and a cheat for money in Infinite Space (which is also not working).

EDIT! I tried again, this time ganking the TEMP USRCHEAT.DAT and editing it, and got more or less the same results. The code that allows you to view IVs/EVs with R/L works, the code that gives you all pokeballs with Up+Select works, the meet-random-wild-pokemon code doesn't. I'm going to go ahead and guess it's a problem with that particular code, and just keep asking in that thread. Thanks for the help, guys.
