Hacking Cheat Problem on R4

i recently downloaded the new R4 firmware http://www.r4li.com/download/r4_v1.22_kernel.html and now my cheats dont work. It fixed many games and made them loadable but now no cheats work. it freezes at the cheat screen. Can someone help me with this problem or should i just give up and install the YSmenu?

While v1.22 has better compatibility than v1.18 it's much more buggy and unstable. YSMenu built with DSTT v1.17a01 has similar compatibility to v1.22 but none of the bugs.

ugh, understood. is YSmenu just like the R4? can i keep all my mp3's and movies in the root and will the themes still work?

Nope, it's completely different. It's a modified version of the DSTT firmware. Image files from R4 themes can be renamed to make them work. Moonshell isn't 'built-in' but can be downloaded and used like any NDS ROM.

i was reading about the moonshell and it was said that i needs to be patched for DSTT. is there a guide just for installing moonshell on DSTT?
