Hurrah, got it working now, managed to increase my health in Dead Cells to a ridiculous amount. It gets reset when you get any modifiers, but it's a start.

Also managed to increase the amount of money. Next, souls and multipliers :D

[update] OK, souls was startlingly easy to find.

Just play through the level until you get to the shop. You should have a few souls. Search for the exact number of souls using a 32bit signed search.
Spend 1 soul, repeat. In 3 steps you'll find the figure. I now have 16 million souls :D

Care to explain a little better if you could? Please and thanks

@AnalogMan
I have made a little tool to help creating codes. Since I'm a lazy guy and you have the knowledge about code creation, maybe you could check if it's working right or any codes are wrong.
Sadly it's only for Windows and need .Net4 ... but maybe someone will do the same in Python or Java.

Thanks in advance...

This tool is made AS-IS. There can be some errors but for me it's fine.
Feel free to test and use but keep an eye for AnalogMan's answer if all is working correct.

Sorry. Forgot to add, I then went back into the game and spent a little bit if stars and then put the new value in the next search. It says something about too many results, try again. I kept changing my star level by either gaining more or spending more. Either way I can never find the value to go ahead and change it. I'd like to make it unlimited

lol, it's just a little helper.
Enter your found adress along with the amount you want to change and click create code.
as example my preview. address 000012AB is the address you've found on cheat searcher and value 999 is the value you want to change like lives etc.
It's actually easy peasy.

well, you basically only need to find the pointer. all it does is convert it to cheat codes
Or have luck to find the address in main ;)

if you keep getting too many results, you should search in 32bit, not 8bit

basically, just search what you see on screen after you convert it to hex value
powerup and hp will revert back to normal after you pickup an powerup or after cleared and entered a new section

So I found this after converting my health amount to hex.....what next?

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
