Hacking Changing Firmware

Hi all,

Is it possible to change my card firmware from an f-card to some other type of ds card as I am not having any luck in getting my card to work. The guy I got it off has disapeared so i cant exchange it.

the guy dissapeared? hmm...... well, you can't change the firmware to a different card, but you can use firmware from the n-card and any of its clones. you can't change it to an r4 or m3 or itouch or something like that. it's got to be an n-card or a clone.

Hi thanks, it is a F-Card slot 1 only it doesnt have ant slot 2 cart just a usb dongle you put the slot 1 card in direct to pc

any chance of a walk through please

I have formatted and put x-menu back on but no system files are created when it starts it just come bact with the xmenu.dat error and it is now getting on my nervesand i just feel like binning it

You can change to F-Card to N-Card and their clones.

Very quick summery...

Download a file for whichever clone you want (besides r4, m3, and all the other ones but the N-Card clones will work) call nand_all.bat.

Delete the xmenu.dat file on the card.

Connect you card to the computer and while it is starting up press L+R+A+B+UP.

A weird screen comes up.

Double click on nand_all.bat while it is connected and then copy the xmenu.dat file to the card afterwards.

PS: READ THIS!!!!. Make sure you copy all of your games and SAV files to your computer before you to this so they don't get deleted.

Copy the games and SAV file back and play normaly!

but i only have a dongel so i cant push L+R+A+B+UP.

hi when you reformatted did u do a quick formatt ?? if so you need to do the full format can take up to 1 hour. when u have done it put the x-menu back on to card DO NOT copy and paste make sure you drag and drop the file.
I have a few people that have had problems and they have sent me the card to sort for them.
