According to leaked documents on Gigaleak about Gamecard working, lotus3 ASIC acts as an intermediary between Tegra SoC and Gamecard. The Gamecard communicates with the Lotus3 through a Nintendo proprietary protocol, however, the communication between the ASIC and the Tegra is through eMMC commands. So would it be possible to remove that ASIC and directly install an eMMC (or even a microSD) as a third game storage medium?

The PCB (From an Switch OLED motherboard) image point colors means: Black for GND, Red fo VCCs, Green for eMMC Data lines and Blue for eMMC Command lines. The unmarked pins are almost Gamecard related stuff.
