Hacking Change R4 Chinese to English ?

I have a question maybe someone knows how to do it :

i have bought an Chinese R4 is it possible to change the screens to english i tried to overwrite the Menu.dat but it diddnt work maybe the firmware IN the R4 is Chinese and cant change it ??

does anyone have a solution for this ????

i hope someone could tell me if its possible

It's possible, but you'll need a soldering iron.

If you aren't comfortable using a soldering iron you probably shouldn't try that little mod; the pads you have to solder together are very small.

Why not just keep using the Chinese version? The filenames are still in english, right? The R4 doesn't have options menus, so I wouldn't think it would be a problem.

you can always wack a wee bit of tinfoil or other suck material over the contacts temporarily to see if it works, before you plunge in with solder

I tried it with Tinfoil but it didnt work unfortunatly

ill keep the Chinese version
