ok i finally managed to get the 3DS boot into CFW while holding down the L button and it also shows up on the netwatcher program. i entered the correct IP but still i am getting the unable to connect error

the network is an android phone hotspot , with an internet connection , and is an unsecured network(No password).

the anti virus and firewall are both off in my pc.

any help !!!??

hi.. here's a trick.. and usually works 66% of the time

press nintendo DS profile and count 1,2,3,4 aloud then release. it works for me 66%

I am currently in the CFW , but the crtclient is unable to connect....

now for the excruciating part.. it will take a while installing devmenu. and it depends on your luck. it took me a week and some even a month but some people were very lucky and it just took them seconds! lucky for them. I tried before installing on my iphone via hotspot and s6 android but i failed try using a router.. and routers have firewall in them.. yes your computer has one and routers also have one.. and try disabling those two firewalls

I use my android phone hotspot Nexus 4, but the internet speed on it is like 10~20KBps
I have disabled the firewall, on the PC and the anti virus as well.
i already tried running the bat file 200 times(yes i counted).

BTW i found that if i unlink the CFW emuNAND form the sysNAND(format sysNAND) it works better.

it doesnt matter if you have a fast connection.. Devmune is like just 300KB. and you'll just be using the connection to issue the install command remotely. Havent try that method maybe it will work for you.

only if ctrclient even connects will the internet be of any use..........

That's the exact same error I had lol, which I told you in a bit more detail in my previous posts in this thread.

If this is any help, I noticed that if I didn't restore my 9.X 3DS SD files (the files on my SD before I downgraded), The CIA installer would give an error when trying to install BigBlueMenu (didn't try installing devmenu). BTW have you tried a different computer and/or network?

what exactly do you mean restore the 9.X SD files.

Overwrite the existing files ?

Overwrite the existing files ?

What I did was:

First backup my SD card files when still being on 9.x.
Then downgrade to 4.x, and then got that error.
Then put my 9.x SD card files (all of the files), and I don't think I had to overwrite anything FYI, but if you had to overwrite something, I'd assume to just overwrite and see what happens.

Okay, here is what you all need to do for this error. You need to go into C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\Backup\Nintendo 3DS\60de65f4228731dd299f4d76010b230a\0d4a00db3113911b3030303000284245. Your numbers will be different, but once your past those two folders you need to create another folder called dbs inside dbs create a text file called title.db and be sure to name it with correct extension. Go back into your 3ds settings in cfw and go to 3ds data management it will tell you those are corrupted and to reset it. After that go ahead and power cycle your 3DS to boot into cfw again. Now it will work.

one moment let me try booting into CFW for the 1000th time and try this.

Thanks by the way.

It worked !!!!!

Thank you Sooo much Everyone !!!!
now i can finally carry all my games with me !!!

For those who may encounter a similar issue, what made the difference i think was assigning a static IP to the 3DS and also separating the sysNAND and the CWF emuNAND.

Congrats on finally installing DevMenu on your 3DS. :)

Although I wish you were able to realize you didn't create the zero byte "title.db" file. That would have saved a lot of headaches.... :P

I had assumed you have done everything correctly..

Actually i did create the title.db files but after i separated the emuNAND(CFW) and the sysNAND , i had to apparently do it again.
