Hacking CFW PS3 PHAT: How Do I Create PKG files from my ISO and Their Accompanying Updates?

As the title reads, now that my PS3 is modded, I'd like to be able to back up all my games in PKG format and I'd also like to be able to back up the updates in PKG format for the future when the Playstation Network may no longer be around or compatible with the PS3.

I've been trying to figure out how to make packages from the PSN game folders that I bought before modding mine.

I know that "PS3 GAME UPDATER V1.52" will download and create PKG update packages for all your ISO's. Though this is all I've found thus far. I'm not sure this it is entirely possible to convert PS3 and PS2 ISO's to PKG's.

You can pack them using aldostools or TrueAncestor pkg repacker. The process will take a while and isn't worth it. Updates can be stored on pkg, games themselves should just stick to ISO.
