Hacking CFW & Factory Reset (delete NNID)

Hi

I will delete my NNID in my New 2ds .....

I habe flashed with this tuturial:

Its OK - but the NNID in this - cant delete Them....

Can i reset the device (fw 11.6) and have i the CFW or can i delete the NNID direkt (no pw for mail for this)

You can reformat, transfer, and pretty much do anything and not do much harm to the CFW. The exploit (B9S) is installed far deeper than a reformat through system settings can touch. As well CFW itself wouldn't be removed when reformatting or anything through the system settings. Even if the system somehow removed the boot.firm, you just need to redownload and replace it.

If you delete the NNID from System Settings it actually permanently deletes your NNID from Nintendo's servers. That's why the login info is needed.
You can remove the NNID from the system without formatting by injecting a blank nnidsave.bin, so you don't lose your friends list and installed games, or you can simply format the console if you don't care about losing everything.

If I remember correctly from my own test, I believe you can just outright delete the nnidsave.bin file and the 3DS will create a blank one on boot, which is even easier.

You're probably right. nnidsave.bin is in sysdata so it's deleted during a system format anyway.
