I am connected to the internet on my campus via a wired connection. I am able to get a successful connection test and browse the opera browser just fine. The homebrew channel even works fine and it gets an IP Address. I used to be able to use my wired connection with wiimmfi and cfg just fine but recently cfg fails to initialize the wired network connection when trying to download covers and when i boot mario kart and try to go online with the wiimmfi patch it gives me an unable to connect error almost immediately. does anyone know what could be going on? When i first brought the wii i had it on the wifi but it stopped working shortly so i used the wired which worked fine. now the only way i can get online games is to use a hotspot. it doesnt have a problem with the wifi, its just the wired. At the end of the day if i have to use a hotspot its not the end of the world, but the wired connection is much more convenient.
