Cave Story 3DS dated

As I love pixel art, SNES style and everything old school, I can say the original is great. You can play it already in three different versions - on PC, on Wii and on DSi.

I bet nearly everyone has at least one system available to play the old one on. So nobody should still demand another "classic" version.

Pixel (the creator) has every right to try something different and I support him in that. Having said this, that one 3D screenshot is pretty underwhelming. But I haven't lost faith yet - it's just one early screenshot and I haven't seen it in motion or in "real" 3D yet.

When the 2D one becomes available on the eShop, I will buy it instantly (I don't have a DSi).

Concerning the new 3D version, I will just wait until much more is shown or until I get my hands on it to see it on a real 3DS.

Waaaaaay more versions than that. XBox, calculator, etc. There's some fansite listing all of 'em.

I like the new style... played the original on PC several times, and the Wii version... Even though this is a sequel(?) I am satisfied with this art style, since I think I'd be bored by another pixel-version of the game...

The kinda' graphing calculators you use for high school and college, the Ti-xx series (starting with the 83+ IIRC, not the normal 83).

Lots of games and applications there, and you can program text-based games on the calculator itself in a BASIC-type language.

Yeah, also saw that in another article now, that it's the original game. There were some talk before when the first pictures came out, that it'd be a sequel.. that's why I was unsure at first
