That code is working great for me in PPSSPP (OpenGL on Mac). Finally SOTN PSP version with square pixels! No issues with garbled text. For reference:

Didn't try it yet, so I'm wondering: Why does it say "requires restart"? That usually means the code doesn't work on real consoles, because by default, the cheat plugin is turned off.

Could be. I haven't tried it on my PSP. Might need a new battery. Since the Dracula X Chronicles doesn't launch right into SOTN maybe it would work if you enable the cheat plugin/cheat before launching SOTN.

I tried out the code on my Vita, but that didn't work. Enabling cwcheat before starting SOTN has no effect, since the PSP kinda soft resets to launch SOTN, thus disabling cwcheat again.
But I found out about TempAR, which allows for cheats to be always enabled. Unfortunately, enabling your resolution cheat still results in garbled text and nothing else...
