Castle of Illusion Remake

I finally got around to checking this out and...

...I just kept feeling the urge to bust out the old Genesis version. The new graphics, sound track, etc. etc. etc. were all very well polished, very professional and well put together, but it just does not have the same charm as the original. Why was this game made? Clearly 16-bit, hand drawn graphics with a Yamaha sound chip is superior! Or is it that more passion was put into the original because of the confines of the environment with which the creators had to work in? I dunno but this remake is boring.

Play the game again on the Genesis(or use an emulator) and you'll find out. Personally I found the remake better than the original. You're either going to like the remake or not but the majority of people agreed it was a good remake. It's a lot like how people viewed the Ducktales remake, some liked it, some didn't, some liked both, some didn't like it at all.
