wood states that you should use clean games

if you asking for Rom links gtfo

The games are fixed on the firmware. As in, you don't need patches.

how do i check if the rom is clean?

the flashcard may be a fake/clone R4

the firmware still loads but detects its not a original R4 so will not load games

use the DSscene Rom tool

will tell you if its clean or patched

There are some cards, what have wood on their sites as firmware. Version of this fake wood updated with original wood. But really this fake wood based on waio 1.15 with the same compatibility. Only version changed. So reason may be here.

Besides, R4iDSN(r4idsn.com) and R4i Gold(r4ids.cn) can support SDHC and NDSi/3DS

Well here's a fix that I think has actually worked. Just use YSMenu and all your games should work as they did for me. At first Pokemon Black didn't work and I used Wood and everything but nothing worked, afterwards I found YSMenu and then installed it and the ROM worked fine.
