    Speculating? Well OK then.
Capcom knows Monster Hunter does not sell outside Japan but still wants to maintain a trademark. This is that.

I believe the Monster Hunter series has sold relatively well in both the US and European markets.

    Well it's either
    1. Some westernized spinoff of the main series on the PS4
    2. A mobile game
    3. A localisation of Monster Hunter Frontier
    4. Nothing, just a trademark that won't be used

    My guess is 1.

English title for Monster Hunter XX to be released on Switch and 3DS in other regions than Japan?

Sounds like an MMO like Frontier or something.

Or maybe it's the one made by Tencent, Monster Hunter Online.
