Well I was going to hack a friend of mines psp with a pandora battery and memeroy stick. but every time I try it says fail----> error and has some numbers after it. I've never had a problem like this and was wondering if theres something else I need to do?

Which PSP model are you trying? 1000s and early 2000s are fine. 2000s with Ta088v3 (or something) MoBo and 3000s = nothing you can do.

I'm pretty sure its not the PSP 2000 (TA-088 V3) or a PSP 3000, I don't think they boot the Pandoras at all. I could be wrong though, somebody correct me if I'm wrong..

possibly a fake mms?

Has the MMS been made correctly with something like PSPGrader?

Make sure it's MagicGate: Supported. Check Information in Game, Photo, Music or Video tabs.

I used the totalnewbieinstaller, I've been using that for a long time since that guide on here came out, so I'll give that a try and see whats up

use DC version from psp-hacks.com I've use the DC7 version since mid-way last year. It's downgrades (or upgrades) to 4.00M33, then you can upgrade to 5.00M33, or 5.50GEN,

Create a pandora battery with it

and

Create a magic memory stick

Stick both in, hold R or L, while loading up and BAM you're all set.

EDIT: So it's fixed? Great.
