Hardware Can't Access Saves on SD

I Downloaded a Mario Kart Save and put it on my sd went to wii menu settings,saves,wii,sd and it freazes. I have a ntsc wii hbc, wii menu 4.0, wii menu 4.0 cIOS Patch. Wads work, can add saves to sd. but can't access saves on sd.

please help.
