I downloaded some soul eater Episodes, all in mp4, and they show up as "unsupported data". It's the same with the majority of the youtube videos I download, some work, some don't. Any help? I searched on the internet, and it said that it is probably my usb cable, but it works fine, It's a memory card reader I bought from Best Buy.

Do you have the .thm file in there too. Its the thumbnail preview pic to be in the same folder with the same name as the .mp4 file. For example both avatar.mp4 and avatar.thm should be in the video folder. You can use any 160x120 jpg pic just change the extention to .thm.

Put them in ms0:/MP_root/100(something or rather theres 2 folders there)

Put them in one of the folders

If they're the right format they should work in pretty much any folder, I use ms0:\VIDEO and it picks it up and plays.

The container format (AVI/MPG/MP4/MOV) is only part of the video's type.
  • Container
    • Video Codec
      • Resolution
      • FPS
      • Bitrate
    • Audio Codec
      • Channels
      • Sampling Frequency
      • Bitrate
If any of those parts is "out of bounds" for a specific player, then the video file won't play on the player, even if it's of the correct container type. When you use a converter for a specific platform (such as for the PSP or DS or ipod) or to a specific format, it doesn't convert just the container, it formats every part of the video to certain specifications so it'll play properly, which is partially why it takes so long to convert.

Download WinFF or your preferred converter and convert it to the PSP preset.

I also have this problem sometimes :/
The PSP-Menu refuses to play the video: BUT iR Shell plays it file. No idea why, but try it.

I got PSP Video 9, but it won't let me select multiple files to download. How can I do that?

while converting, WinFF says "aac 0218f1d0(or something) not implemented, update ffmpg version" or something like that during conversion. Is that normal? Also, what PSP Converter do you recommend?

I personally use the official Media Go. It works great but it might not support alot of formats... In that case, if you know how to use cmd ffmpeg, use it

well, I can't convert it. I just need a psp converter that is good and can mass convert multiple files.

Media Go converts automatically. Try AVS video converter.

All right, Thanks. PSP Video 9 was going to take me 4 hours.....each file.

Well, i depends how powerful your computer is. The more CPU Power it has, the faster the conversion will be done.
