Hacking Cannot update R4i Gold 3DS card

I have an R4i Gold 3DS Card (r4ids.cn) and cannot get it to update to either of the two most recent firmwares. I am using a NDS Lite to perform the updates. Everytime I try to check the status of the card or perform the update it just gives me an error. The card can still play ROMs on the NDSL. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have already tried clearing off the microSD card and starting with a fresh set of firmware downloads.

Look at the back, near the pins, and tell us what number or letter is there. Also what icon does it show up as?

The number on the back is 8, and the icon is for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.

3DS V4.5.0-10 & DSi V1.45

Current Wood firmwares, and all other files up to date (most recent) from that site.

It just says "error" whenever I try to run the updates, same thing happens if I hit "B" to check card status. O have updated this card before using the same method, but this time around it seems to be a problem.
