I'm looking for a way of using a save from a Pokemon Heartgold cart in TWilight Menu++ (to play with the NDS rom of the same game).

Is there a way of exporting the save from the cart? (maybe with Checkpoint)

Is the format of the save going to be recognized by TWilight Menu++, if placed in the right folder?

Solution
You can use GodMode9i with TWiLight and dump the Save from your Gamecart.
This .save File can be used then.It has to be named like the Game.(Pokemon.nds -> Pokemon.sav)
Unfortunately I have no Idea if this works with the 3DS GodMode9 too.

Wow amazing idea, you've just blown my mind!
I checked about dumping saves in GM9, and apparently it's possible, and there's also an app called TWLSaveTool that seems to help in the process, so I will have some experimenting to do tomorrow.
Thanks alexander1970 for chiming in!

An app exists for Android called Rekado which is a payload injector for the RCM exploit to work. Don't know if it's still active.

@imafsiry, What method? Phone or RCM Loader?
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
@imafsiry You just install Rekado to your phone and then plug your Switch into your phone when it's in RCM mode. Rekado should automatically pop up on your phone and ask which payload you want to send.

@imafsiry You can also set it to auto launch the payload of your choice so no user input is even necessary.

thats what i use also. works better if you launch hekate from rekado as you won't need to update the payload

as hekate launches the latest payload on the sd card (unless the sent payload is newer)
