Can you run a security cam setup with a pi and gopro and/or have discord stream video support too?

so, this might be a weird question, but for context--my cats just had kittens. I was wondering if it'd be possible to set up a camera in the kitten room to record them, like those youtube 24/7 stream channels of cats. The first idea I had was to use a pi to set up some security camera thing and connect it to a streaming service I guess? But I also don't want the room on constant public livestream, I'd like to keep it to select people. I don't even know if that'd be possible, anyway. But my goal, basically, is to not only stream the kittens on camera to see, but maybe tie it into a discord video room? That way I could just put roles on family/friends I'd want to see the stream room?

It might just be too much effort to bother with, but now I'm just curious if this idea is hypothetically possible at all, for curiosity's sake.

Pretty simple stuff, if I do say so myself, there is a pre-built OS for that: https://github.com/ccrisan/motioneyeos and standalone software if you want a more DIY approach, a good way to find those is basically searching for "home surveillance pi". If you want external access, you'll need to implement some security measures.

As an alternative, you can also get your old ass Android phone to work like that.
