Misc Can you play Splatoon 1 using CFW?

I used to have a WiiU in 2017, and I remember that you could not play a downloaded version of Splatoon online for some reason. Am I remembering things wrong? I do have an original version of Splatoon in digital form on my current WiiU, but I have always wondered if you could actually go online with a pirated version.

Anyone has any info on this? Or am I crazy or something?

The only thing that will get you banned on Wii U is if you try modify saves or cheats online. Just playing online will not get you banned.

Now I remember!! What I was doing back then was trying to play Splatoon using Cemu!! And THAT was imposible to do online, and you had to have a real WiiU with an original game, and with that you could play online using Cemu and it required all sorts of intricancies to do it in the EMU!

My mind is of old man hahahahha
