You'll need to use dsiwarehax, user mode homebrew doesn't give enough access. Not sure if dsiwarehax still works on 11.3 but it should, though no one's tested it yet.

Yes, I forgot to mention that, I was just suggesting dsiwarehax as a non invasive alternative to hardmodding.

No, DSiwarehax works having a nand backup or compiling the otp.bin and injecting firm0/firm1 with dsiwarehax he can restore her console. Nintendo only patched the native_firm downgrade.

It is true that 11.3.0 fixed DSiWare downgrading, but you're incorrect about it being "false hope". The fact that tunip has a NAND backup means that this system can be recovered. They just need a way to reflash the NAND with that image. DSiWare hacks could do this, as could a hard mod.

DSiWare and hard mods are just currently useless when you don't have a backup of an earlier firmware (or of 11.3.0 with A9LH already installed).
