Hacking Can you do a data utility transfer from PS3 to CFW PS3?

I want to transfer my legit PSN games from my Slim that can't be modded to my CFW PS3. There's a data utility option where you hook up an ethernet cord between the consoles and transfer everything over. It says it requires you to update to the latest firmware. Would that mean the CFW PS3 would need to update to the latest legit CFW? Because I have 4.81 CEX w/ Cobra.

I'm sure it's possible since I've done it in the past, not sure why it's asking for an update even though your on 4.81 CFW

Oh it hasn't asked for an update I haven't done it yet. I just wanted to make sure it won't effect anything.
