Hacking Can nintendo detect a rom while gaming with wi-fi?

I have a DS lite and i wanted to know if it's possible for nintendo dectect a rom whilst gaming with wi-fi? I own the games already but I want to know if it's safe. Thanks.

Hmm, that's a nice question.

Nintendo cannot even SEE your DS if your wireless is turned off (the lights on the upper right are solid green/red). You can be standing next to an access point and Nintendo can't see it. Wifi data is based on solely your DS, so if two people download the same ROM Nintendo can't tell that they're running off the same data.

I don't think they have the resources or the desire to do this. I'll boldly say that you are 99.9% safe playing games over WI-FI.

R u asking if nintendo can tell if its a flashcart rom if so i dont think so anyways they cant do anything about it since almost a fraction of ds users have a flashcart

If you are gaming with wi-fi on a clean ROM, there is no way they could ever know you are using a pirated copy. They can do all the hash checks they want (Which they don't do) and they'll never be able to tell if you are using a flash cart or not. There is also no unique key on DS games, so that's even more proof.

so what is this game? this game is a game that sold more than 700,000 copies in japan

EDIT: thats the one and only game i know they blocked flash cart users from downloading the free contents! Wifi wise? who knows what they are up to....
