Homebrew Can I update my 3DS?

I have homebrew launcher and FBI and stuff on my 3ds, version: 11.10.0-43U

Whenever I turn on my 3ds I get a system update notification, I'm not sure if it matters if I go ahead and update my system so the notification goes away.
I don't remember how I modded my 3DS, but all my games on there are from my SD CARD. I want to make sure if I update my system that I can still play the games I have on there.

Can someone please advise?

if you're on that firmware, I think you should be a b9s. just replace boot.firm on sd card and ctrnand and boot.3dsx (the homebrew launcher) on the sd card. you may have to redo rosalina to get the homebrew launcher to work. it's kinda random as per my experience.

I understand what you mean, but I'm not sure how to update my custom firmware. Is the latest 3ds system version still hackable?

As was said before, first update Luma CFW to the latest version. Follow this, if you will
