I have a modded Switch and my 512GB is about to be full. I was thinking of buying another SD card.
Once I prepped the card, can I eject one SD card and put in the new one without rebooting, and the screen will just refresh the games/contents on the new card?

If you eject in Horizon OS, it will tell you to restart regardless, you can always load up hekate then eject if you want, it really make no different, if you filled up a 512GB card it will take a while to copy over.

The "easiest" way to swap sd cards without "rebooting" is to reboot into hekate (for this I suggest the tesla overlay fastcfwswitch) then just swap cards.

To answer your question:
1) the first method is highly suggested since the second method you brought up is more than likely to corrupt your sd car

Thank you! So this part I am a little unclear, do I 1) shut down, swap the card, and inject/start or 2) swap and select restart?
Would much prefer the second, but just wanna be sure.

If your Switch has CFW then you should reboot into rcm/hekate, swap card then launch your desired CFW.
If your Switch is unmodded, then shut down, swap card and power on.

Never remove the SD card while the console is running. This is like removing the hard drive of your computer when its on. Always turn it off or boot into Hekate.
